A History of Violence review

Posted : 13 years, 4 months ago on 21 December 2010 12:56 (A review of A History of Violence)

I can't believe what I just saw,and I don't say this in a positive way :/ Watching this movie, only one idea was crossing my mind-this is not Cronenberg. The scenes were just thrown on each other carelessly, with a desperate moments of 'profound' mesagges about family virtue, human psihology,so boring, useless and cheap, and all that followed by the most annoying suburbian-happy family-lame music I've ever heard. After classics such as Naked lunch,Videodrome,Crash,Fly...this movie should be erased from the minds of those who have seen it,and also from the face of the Earth .

The Cable Guy review

Posted : 13 years, 6 months ago on 27 October 2010 06:40 (A review of The Cable Guy)

Ben Stiller is a shitty actor,a shity director which can easily be concluded after watching this movie, and also a shitty excuse for a human beeing ! Useless, not funny, stupid, especially the parts where 'director' makes a few 'meaningfull' tv screen entrances as an evil twin brother who shocked the entire Usa arghhh

10 is not good enough!!

Posted : 14 years, 7 months ago on 21 September 2009 12:43 (A review of The Marathon Family)

I've been thinking about writing a detailed review and putting all the facts and descriptions which make this movie a cult, but I realised it's impossible. There are no words to describe this one,and 10/10 it's just not good enough for this movie!Every person who considers himself as a quality movies fan,MUST watch this one, because it's one of the best you'll ever see in your life!!

Beautiful, magical movie with a healthy, positive and innocent imagination!Even the colours in the movie and sceneries are bright and the entire movie feels like a fairytale! All the personalities of characters in movie are highly expresed, each of them has a special quality and it's special in its own way!No place for mediocracy in this movie! So all in all a romantic and beautiful fairytale about life, love and al the other small things that make the life go round and round

Gummo review

Posted : 14 years, 8 months ago on 9 September 2009 12:31 (A review of Gummo)

I believe this movie is one of those you can rate as rubbish,a pointless rubbish, because if it had any point at all I wouldn't be completely sorry for losing my 1.30 watching it!It follows a story of a place in Ohio where all the inhabitants are weird, sick, twisted and all these qualities come from their poorness, bad life conditions and bad environment.I really don't know if this was supposed to be some criticism about the american society or to a certain crowd of people,I really can't tell, but I sure can tell that if it was suposed to be a criticism ,the director totally failed, and if it was supposed to be a pointless shit desperately trying to shock with the old manners of shocking such as cat killing,a lousy story of a child molestation, and a plenty of other lousy stories and scenes, well if that's what this is movie was supposed to be,then it sure succeded!Awfull, don't waste your time on this one!

suburbia

Posted : 14 years, 8 months ago on 27 August 2009 03:26 (A review of Suburbia )

This is a very good and realistic picture of the american society during the Vietnam war,and an obvious critical attitude about one rotten and hypocrite after-war suburbian society. The movie follows the lives of outcast punk-rock teenagers living in an abandoned house, and while they're beeing threated like some low life scum by the local rednecks, frustrated war veterans, what's under the surface is a completely different picture.A picture that shows a complete failure and negligence about the young generations, who are left in shadows of middle-aged frustrations of their parents and a lack of emitions and care. The main backbones of society are ruined and replaced with bitterness, weakness and worthlessness, which strongly affects on a rebelious adolescent behaviour!
The movie is very sad,but the element that gives such a degree of sadness to this movie is the fact that it is so real!some quite disturbing scenes, like a bunch of abandoned dogs walking down the streets, and a tragedy when a dog kills a small boy in front of his mother's eyes. That is just one scene that describes the dark atmosphere in this little suburbia, but there are also more tragic events in the movie and they all show a complete fiasco in people's minds that reflects on the fiasco in their environment and in the minds of their children! And in the end,I must recommend a great music,a really great punk music in this one,and a great reflection on the atmosphere on punk-rock concerts at the time!

Tokyo Gore Police review

Posted : 14 years, 8 months ago on 27 August 2009 02:00 (A review of Tokyo Gore Police)

This is one from the baisment of Yoshihiro Nishimura, the man who worked special effects on Machine girl ,,but this one is far ahead the Machine girl! It's an insanely apocalyptic picture of Japan in future, where the police is a private force and works as an extremely violent sammurai unit that uses extremely sadistic methods on criminals, and their target are so called 'engineers' ,mutants who turn their injuries into weapon! In the centre of atenttion is a police officer Ryuka who uses her catana in a very skilful way and slaughters 'engineers' with it.Ryuka is by the way Eihi Shiina from Takashi Mike's Audition.
The gore in this movie is fascinating, with a bunch of exaturating cartoonish brilliant scenes and I must inform you about some of those masterpieces such as the saw poping out of head and cutting of arms,a lady with no arms and legs with a sado-mazo mask and she serves as a sex slave to the police chief,a club where a woman who has a penis instead of an eye and an eye in her moth performs,a woman urinating in the audience's mouth while they're thrilled and many others scene that you have to see to believe that there is no end in Nishimura's imagination!
I must also add the storyline in this movie about commercials which are shown on tokyo television such as-don't do harakiri in your office or selling razorbleeds for tennagers selfmutilation!
So what else can I say except-if you're into neverending bizzare imagination filled in blood and unbelievable gore effects that make the machine girl -chef eating his own fingers as a sushi scene seem as a product of a grey's anatomy director' s mind or something similar, this movie is a piece of that japanese sickness you'll be returning to always!
